March 16: Ringo Jihen forums

We are sorry to announce that the Ringo Jihen forums are now out of control due to the unreasonable and almost dictatorial attitude of one of our admin. We will post the forums link as soon as it will be available. If you know some of the forums members, please let them know about it.

Thanks for your understanding.

January 23: RingoJihen's new home, Tokyo Jihen's new song!
Here we are in our new home, please change your links and bookmarks ^__^
Tokyo Jihen's tour has started and they have performed a new song, called "Hatsukoi" (First Love), which is rumoured to be Tokyo Jihen's next single!

November 25: New album "Kyouiku"
Tokyo Jihen's first album "Kyouiku" (Education) has been released today. You can read more informations about the release in our Discography section. We also added a page for the upcoming DVD "Tokyo Incidents vol.1".

October, 10: TV appearance, first DVD release and new video version
There is a new version for the (beautiful) Sounan PV: just like "Gunjou hiyori" which had "Sono onna fushidara ni tsuki (The lady is a tramp)", "Sounan" will have "Dynamite" attached to its end. And if you live in Japan, do not miss TJ's appearance in the Japanese TV programme "Music Station" on October, 29!
Lastly, TJ will release their first DVD containing PVs, lives and other special features on December 8. Its title is "Tokyo Incidents vol. I".

September, 30: New analog releases and "Sounan" video
The video for "Sounan" is officially around (and, a-hem, you might be able to find it on your favourite p2p programme, or bittorrent, or such). I haven't seen it yet, I'll post the captions as soon as I can.
Plans for the analog (vynil) releases have been made. An analog version of the album "Kyouiku", as well as a joint LP with "Gunjou hiyori" on face A and "Sounan" on face B will be released later this autumn. Anyway, they all will be limited editions, and the label will only print the effective number of preordered copies. So you'll have to preorder your copies before October 13. If you don't live in Japan it might be quite hard. Try Yesasia or CD Japan.

September, 25: New single preview and Ringo collaboration
Yesterday, Tokyo Jihen's second single "Sounan" has started airing in radios across Japan, and its PV was first shown in exclusive by Space Shower channel. Anyway, the release date is supposed to be October, 20th.
Shiina Ringo will partecipate as backing vocalist to the new Zazen Boys album, which will be out at the end of this year.

September, 21: Weekly chart results
Oricon has published this week's chart. "Gunjou Hiyori" ranked 2nd, and sold 100988 copies in its first release week. Congratulations for the great result of their debut work!

September, 15: "Dynamite!" 2005 tour dates
The dates for Tokyo Jihen's 2005 tour, called "Dynamite!", have been published on Kronekodow and TJ official site. Tickets will be on sale from November 28th, and will cost ¥5,775 for seats and ¥5,250 for standing places. To know what are the dates, click here.

September, 12: New album & new single news
The next single will be released on October, 20th. Its title is "Sounan" (Catastrophe); click here for more info. Moreover TJ's debut album will be titled "Kyouiku" (Education) and will be released on Ringo's birthday, November 25th. For the tracklisting and further info click here. Did you notice the tl is symmetric again?

September, 08: "Gunjou hiyori" release
TJ's debut single "Gunjou hiyori" (Ultramarine weather) has been released today, and it immediately leapt up to #1 position of the Oricon chart. What a great start for Tokyo Jihen! For infos about the release, visit the "discography" section; to see screencaptions from the PV, click here.
